The groundwork for Treco was laid long before the company was chartered. It started with a van, a commercial carpet machine, and a promise of better service.
Edward Trevino Sr. · Founder
"It started with a promise to do the work better than anyone else would."
In 1981, Edward Trevino Sr. founded ACE. His first customers were friends. As they experienced his superior level of service and dedication, the references began to come. To set ACE apart from other companies and the standard handyman, Mr. Trevino purchased a van that carried a commercial-grade machine and lengths of hose — results no consumer machine could match. A 24/7 dispatch was implemented for emergency cleanups.
ACE soon expanded into flooring installations and grew to include several San Antonio businesses, including Sea Island Shrimp House and a roster of local nightclubs. As demand for dependable, trustworthy work grew, Mr. Trevino added two more cleaning units, then carpet installations, then a showroom. Treco Enterprises Inc. was chartered, and a fresh image followed.
Beginning in 1990, Treco expanded into multi-family apartment renovations throughout Texas. In 2003, the trade name Treco Construction was implemented and the company earned SBE and MBE accreditation through the South Central Texas Regional Certification Agency, plus HUB certification through the Texas Comptroller.
On August 12, 2004, the Small Business Administration certified Treco Enterprises as an 8(a) contractor — the biggest asset to the company to date. In 2007, TEI signed an on-call pressure washing contract at Lackland Air Force Base and earned SAWS Best Management Practice certification.
Today, Treco takes great honor in being a small business. Large firms may offer a superintendent for a project, but no one will work as hard for a company as its president. Mr. Trevino personally works with each client to ensure their satisfaction.
